The Kino Border Initiative
One of Padre Kino's Greatest Living Legacies

The Kino Border Initiative lead by Padre Kino's Jesuit brothers provides humanitarian assistance on the Mexico side of the border by offering emergency aid to migrants who have been deported from the United States to Nogales Sonora without money, food, shelter or other resources.

The Kino Border Initiative also provides workshops and promotes research and education about the realities of the United States-Mexico border.

The Kino Border Initiative together with The Hope Border Institute created a 26 page publication in a comic-strip format that puts a human face to desert deaths, deportation statistics and the global migration crisis. The publication is free online in English and Spanish and can be downloaded at Migrant: Stories of Hope and Resiliency and Migrante: Historia de Esperanza y Resistencia.
