In a very short time the general reader can have a clear and complete understanding of Father Kino and not get overwhelmed by his event filled life. The four online sources for the general reader that are recommended: "Padre Kino and The Trail to the Pacific" and online guides [1] (click, Trail Book); the "Kino Life Chapters" with its maps [7] click Life Chapters) ; 27 paged biography in the Kino chapter in "Not Counting the Cost" [8] (click Best Kino Bio) and "El Padre de Sonora" website in Spanish with selected Kino writings, illustrative images and computer generated expedition route maps (click El Padre de Sonora). Links are also in the left page column and at the bottom of this page.
The goal of the Topic Cross Reference Table is to give the teacher, writer and Kino aficionado access to the key authors and their books written about Father Kino It uses principal Kino topics as they appear in the book. "Padre Kino and The Trail to the Pacific." This book is historically very accurate and complete with its historical fiction genre. There are two lists of page references for the book to the left of the topic column [3]. Page column [1] references the original 1960 edition that is available on the Kino Historical website with book guides. Page column [2] references are to the 2014 edition in paperback.
The references in the columns to the right of the topic column [3] are to the pages of three other key Kino books that are discussed below and are identified by numbers in the corresponding columns [4] [5] [6]. Also used are Reference Table sub headings [7] that have ABCs mnemonic headings from the two paged" Kino Life Chapters - ABCDE" along with its 5 maps.
The only other important Kino book not listed is the best book for the historian: "Kino and Manje: Explorers of Sonora and Arizona" by Ernest J. Burrus.
In the future, page references to two books written by Father Kino will be added to the Cross Reference Table.
